Michah (Micah) - Chapter 4:2

2And many nations shall go, and they shall say, "Come, let us go up to the Lord's mount and to the house of the God of Jacob, and let Him teach us of His ways, and we will go in His paths," for out of Zion shall the Torah come forth, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

Submission to the Head Council of Ephraim

When we speak about the “Head Council of the House of Ephraim,” we are referring to a council whose deepest desire is to come fully under the authority and guidance of a recognized Orthodox Jewish Beit Din or Sanhedrin. In all matters—especially those concerning Halachic decisions related to the Jewish people, Am Yisrael—the Head Council seeks to act with humility, submission, and respect toward the established Torah authority of Israel.

Like I (Ariel) was 'born' on the Har HaBayit so.......,

Let everything that breathes proclaim:
YHVH, elo’ah of Yisra’el is King;
“their majesty reigns over all.”[2][3]
Amen. Selah.

The Tefilah l’Shalom Medinat Yisra’el (“Prayer for the Welfare of the State of Israel”) was composed by Rabbi Yitsḥak haLevi Hertzog (1888-1959), edited by Shmuel Yosef (S.Y.) Agnon (1888-1970), and first published in the newspaper Ha-Tsofeh on 20 September 1948.

This prayer was instituted at the time by the Chief Rabbis of Israel, Rabbi Hertzog and Rabbi Ben Tsiyon Meir Ḥai Uziel. According to the custom of the Ashkenazic communities, the time for reciting the prayer was set between the end of the Torah reading and the haftara for the return of the Torah scroll to its place in the Holy Ark. In Sephardic communities, it is customary to recite the prayer at the time of the removal of the Torah scroll from the Holy Ark. (At this point in prayer, it was customary the prayer “Hanoten Tshuah”, blessing the ruler of the state and their immediate family.)

Because the State of Israel is referred to as “the beginning of the sprouting/growth of our redemption,” the prayer was not universally accepted. This expression, and the reservations about the state in general, are some of the reasons why non-Zionist and anti-Zionist Jews do not recite it in their synagogues. In fact, the recitation of this prayer and, to a lesser extent, the prayer for the safety of IDF soldiers, became one of the main differences between prayer in Ḥaredi synagogues and prayers in National Religious Zionist synagogues in Israel and in the Diaspora.

Daily Thought

A sukkah is an embrace. You sit inside and G‑d is hugging you. All of you, from head to toe.

Whatever you do inside your sukkah—sip a beer, chat with a friend, answer your e‑mail, or just sleep soundly—all is transformed into a mitzvah, a secure and timeless connection with the Infinite.

And then, when you leave the sukkah to enter the world, you carry that hug with you.

All of life can become an embrace. A hug with the Infinite.

Bar Mitzvah

Bar mitzvah is Hebrew for “son of commandment.” When a Jewish boy turns 13, he has all the rights and obligations of a Jewish adult, including the commandments of the Torah. From that date, he will wear tefillin on a daily basis, participate in synagogue services and take his place in the Jewish community. This milestone—called a bar mitzvah—is often celebrated with a ceremony in synagogue, tefillin wearing, and parties. The celebrant may be called to the Torah, lead services, deliver a speech or otherwise demonstrate his newfound status.

Book Days of Awe (Yamim Nora'im), Chapter 9, Halakha 8

08. Children

Once children reach the age of ḥinukh – the age when they can understand the mitzvot of Yom Kippur – we teach them not to wash, apply ointment, or wear shoes on Yom Kippur. Generally, children reach this stage at the age of five or six. Some go beyond this and make sure their children do not wear shoes from the age of three.

In addition to the mitzva to train children to keep the mitzvot of the day, it is also forbidden for adults to cause children (even day-old babies) to transgress. Just as adults may not feed children insects or blood, or cause a young kohen to become impure, so too, it is forbidden for adults to wash children, apply ointment to them, or put shoes on them (Peninei Halakha: Shabbat 24:2). However, if there is a certain degree of medical need, one may wash a child and apply ointment. These do not fall under the prohibition of taking medicine (which is a rabbinic prohibition on Shabbat and Yom Tov), because the Sages permitted undertaking these activities for a child who is sick or experiencing discomfort (ibid. 24:6). Similarly, if a child is likely to hurt himself going barefoot, an adult may put on his shoes for him.

In terms of fasting, we do not train children who are only five or six to do so, because they are not strong enough, and fasting may be harmful to them. Therefore, we wait until the age of nine. At that point, healthy children are encouraged to fast part of the day. For example, if they generally eat breakfast at eight in the morning, they should wait until the afternoon to eat. Weaker children should begin fasting at age ten rather than nine.

From the age of eleven, children should be encouraged to fast the whole day. If they are weak, they can be lenient and fast only half the day.

Girls from the age of twelve have a Torah obligation to fast, while boys have a rabbinic one. Even a twelve-year-old boy who is weak should make an effort to fast the whole day. If he is sick (even if not deathly ill), he is not obligated to fast, since he is not yet thirteen. Nevertheless, he should try to fast until the afternoon. From the age of thirteen, boys, too, have a Torah obligation to fast.[10]

Many encourage younger children who have reached the age of ḥinukh to fast through the night. Even though some object to this stringency, many follow it in order to train the children to participate a little in the fast. However, if the children ask to eat or drink, they should be fed (Elef Ha-magen 616:5).

Many maintain that before the age of nine, children should not be allowed to fast at all during the day, lest they endanger themselves (Rema 616:2). However, most children want to fast for a few hours even before they turn nine. Since doctors do not feel that this is dangerous, most people let them fast during the morning. We are not required to try to stop this custom (Eshel Avraham [Buczacz], based on Rashi).

Out of a deep love for the Lost Sheep of the House of Yisrael, I continue to pray and work from Tzion for the restoration, strengthening, and unity of those who sincerely desire to return to their ancestral roots and to the people of Israel. My own journey has been one of return. Born from an Anusim background, I have walked the path of teshuvah for more than forty years and, approximately thirty years ago, began living fully as an Orthodox Jew according to Jewish law, with formative steps taken in Eretz Yisrael. The words of Tehillim 87:6 have remained especially meaningful to me: “The Lord will count when He registers the peoples: ‘This one was born there.’” Rashi explains this verse as pointing toward a future time when those of Israel who became assimilated among the nations, including those who were compelled to abandon Judaism, will be recognized by HaShem and gathered from among the peoples. This vision has become deeply connected with my personal calling.

Today is that 'future time' where Rashi is speaking about. Today HaShem is answering them from out of Tzyion........

Who is 'calling' from Tzyion,

Together with my dear friend Gaddi Efrayim in India, I have dedicated myself to reaching those among the Lost Tribes and Lost Sheep of the House of Israel who possess an intense desire to return, to unite with Yehudah and Am Yisrael, and to pursue that journey responsibly under recognized rabbinical authority. In 2014, Gaddi invited me to India, where I was introduced to communities and individuals who identify with the heritage of the Lost Tribes of Israel and who were seeking a meaningful path back toward Torah and the Jewish people. From this shared vision, Beit Yisrael International was established as an organization devoted to Torah education, spiritual guidance, community development, and the responsible strengthening of those seeking connection with Israel. Our desire is that every process involving Jewish status or conversion be approached properly, transparently, and in accordance with Halakhah and recognized rabbinical supervision.

At present, I am also engaged in efforts in Israel to explore appropriate pathways through which sincere candidates connected with Beit Yisrael International may complete the necessary stages of their Jewish journey in Israel under qualified and recognized rabbinical authority. Our prayer is to see those who genuinely seek Torah and identification with Am Yisrael guided with wisdom, dignity, patience, and respect for the established institutions of the Jewish people. We seek to build bridges of understanding and cooperation while remaining committed to Torah, Jewish authority, and the unity of Israel.

International Donations and Global Mission Support

I humbly invite those who share this vision to support the continuing mission of Beit Yisrael International. Your generosity helps us nurture and educate individuals and communities who sincerely seek to reconnect with their Israelite and Jewish roots, while encouraging unity with Am Yisrael and respect for the Torah and the divinely entrusted leadership of Yehudah. We pray that this sacred work will contribute, in its own measure, toward greater unity among the people of Israel and toward the ultimate redemption under the sovereignty of the One Creator.

Your financial support enables me to continue serving as Vice President and international representative of Beit Yisrael International, strengthening Torah education, community outreach, international relationships, and mission-related activities. Donations help support the development and maintenance of our educational websites, the production of live and recorded broadcasts from Har HaBayit, the purchase of essential media equipment such as cameras and microphones, and the expansion of Torah sessions conducted through video calls with communities associated with Beit Yisrael International throughout the world.

Our continuing online educational work includes:

•

• Har HaBayit — Jewish Sovereignty for All Israel

•

•  Beit Yisrael International Daily Torah

•

•  Beit Yisrael International Official Website

We hope to expand these Torah-learning initiatives and develop relationships with additional groups around the world who wish to associate with Beit Yisrael International in a responsible and Torah-centered framework.

Monthly support assists with community outreach and Torah education, international and local travel, transportation within and outside Israel, administrative and operational expenses, Har HaBayit educational tours, meetings, volunteer coordination, media and educational resources, international partnership development, and fundraising activities on behalf of Beit Yisrael International.

Every contribution—whether monthly or given as a one-time donation—has meaningful value. Through your partnership, you help provide a stable foundation for the international activities of Beit Yisrael International and enable this mission to continue with faith, dedication, compassion, accountability, and respect for Torah and Jewish authority.
