Michah (Micah) - Chapter 4:2

2And many nations shall go, and they shall say, "Come, let us go up to the Lord's mount and to the house of the God of Jacob, and let Him teach us of His ways, and we will go in His paths," for out of Zion shall the Torah come forth, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

Submission to the Head Council of Ephraim

When we speak about the “Head Council of the House of Ephraim,” we are referring to a council whose deepest desire is to come fully under the authority and guidance of a recognized Orthodox Jewish Beit Din or Sanhedrin. In all matters—especially those concerning Halachic decisions related to the Jewish people, Am Yisrael—the Head Council seeks to act with humility, submission, and respect toward the established Torah authority of Israel.

Like I (Ariel) was 'born' on the Har HaBayit so.......,

“Even if you are dispersed in the uttermost parts of the world,
from there YHVH your elo’ah will gather and fetch you.
YHVH your elo’ah will bring you into the land
which your ancestors possessed,

אָמֵן סֶלָה.

Unite our hearts to love and revere your name,
and to observe all the precepts of your Torah.
Speedily send us your righteous moshia
of the House of David,
to redeem those waiting for your salvation.
Shine forth in your glorious majesty
over all the inhabitants of your world.
Let everything that breathes proclaim:
YHVH, elo’ah of Yisra’el is King;
“their majesty reigns over all.”[2][3]
Amen. Selah.

The Tefilah l’Shalom Medinat Yisra’el (“Prayer for the Welfare of the State of Israel”) was composed by Rabbi Yitsak haLevi Hertzog (1888-1959), edited by Shmuel Yosef (S.Y.) Agnon (1888-1970), and first published in the newspaper Ha-Tsofeh on 20 September 1948.

This prayer was instituted at the time by the Chief Rabbis of Israel, Rabbi Hertzog and Rabbi Ben Tsiyon Meir ai Uziel. According to the custom of the Ashkenazic communities, the time for reciting the prayer was set between the end of the Torah reading and the haftara for the return of the Torah scroll to its place in the Holy Ark. In Sephardic communities, it is customary to recite the prayer at the time of the removal of the Torah scroll from the Holy Ark. (At this point in prayer, it was customary the prayer “Hanoten Tshuah”, blessing the ruler of the state and their immediate family.)

Because the State of Israel is referred to as “the beginning of the sprouting/growth of our redemption,” the prayer was not universally accepted. This expression, and the reservations about the state in general, are some of the reasons why non-Zionist and anti-Zionist Jews do not recite it in their synagogues. In fact, the recitation of this prayer and, to a lesser extent, the prayer for the safety of IDF soldiers, became one of the main differences between prayer in aredi synagogues and prayers in National Religious Zionist synagogues in Israel and in the Diaspora.

Jewish History

R. Yoel Baal Shem was a saintly rabbi and miracle worker who led the Society of Hidden Tzaddikim (righteous men) after the passing of its leader, R. Eliyahu Baal Shem. He was succeeded by R. Adam Baal Shem, who was in turn succeeded by R. Israel Baal Shem Tov.

Laws and Customs

The 10-day period beginning on Rosh Hashanah and ending on Yom Kippur is known as the "Ten Days of Repentance"; this is the period, say the sages, of which the prophet speaks when he proclaims (Isaiah 55:6) "Seek G-d when He is to be found; call on Him when He is near." Psalm 130, Avinu Malkeinu and other special inserts and additions are included in our daily prayers during these days.

The Baal Shem Tov instituted the custom of reciting three additional chapters of Psalms each day, from the 1st of Elul until Yom Kippur (on Yom Kippur the remaining 36 chapters are recited, thereby completing the entire book of Psalms). Click below for today's three Psalms.

Daily Thought

Yom Kippur is a day of forgiveness for those who return.

But then, every day is a day of forgiveness for those who return.

Yet Yom Kippur is an entirely different story.

Because on any other day when a soul returns, her misdeeds are discarded.

On Yom Kippur, when a soul returns, she is held in tight embrace.

Within the fire of that embrace, there never were any misdeeds. There is only oneness, peace, and eternal love.

Bar Mitzvah

Bar mitzvah is Hebrew for “son of commandment.” When a Jewish boy turns 13, he has all the rights and obligations of a Jewish adult, including the commandments of the Torah. From that date, he will wear tefillin on a daily basis, participate in synagogue services and take his place in the Jewish community. This milestone—called a bar mitzvah—is often celebrated with a ceremony in synagogue, tefillin wearing, and parties. The celebrant may be called to the Torah, lead services, deliver a speech or otherwise demonstrate his newfound status.

Book Days of Awe (Yamim Nora'im), Chapter 8, Halakha 10

10. Nursing Women

As we have stated, pregnant and nursing women are obligated to fast on Yom Kippur (Pesaḥim 54b; SA 617:1). True, some contemporary poskim maintain that nursing women may drink le-shi’urim, so that the fast does not cause them to stop nursing. Nevertheless, according to most poskim, nursing mothers must fast on Yom Kippur and even Tisha Be-Av. Even though nursing makes the fast more difficult because of the additional loss of fluids, this is not life-threatening. It does not endanger the baby either, because even if the mother’s milk decreases or dries up, milk substitutes are available. In reality, women who fast are generally able to continue nursing.

Good advice for nursing mothers is to skip every other feeding. This will help them make it through the fast relatively easily. In other words, a woman who normally nurses every three hours should nurse at 10 AM. At 1 PM she should use formula or another substitute, and then nurse again at 4 PM. At 7 PM she should once again use a substitute. This way, she will not suffer too much during the fast, and she will not produce less milk. Some babies will not accept a substitute from their mother, in which case someone else needs to feed them formula.

Nevertheless, if the baby is small, weak, and sickly, and the doctor thinks that the baby has a special need for mother’s milk, and there is concern that if the mother fasts, her milk will dry up or be considerably depleted, she may drink le-shi’urim based on the instruction of a God-fearing doctor (BHL 617:1). However, this is rare; if a nursing mother drinks a lot the day before the fast, her milk will almost certainly not be depleted from fasting. It is even better if, starting three days before the fast, she drinks and sleeps more than usual. This will increase her milk supply. She can also pump in the days before the fast, so the baby will have plenty of milk during the fast, and there is no concern that the mother’s milk will be depleted.[13]

Out of a deep love for the Lost Sheep of the House of Yisrael, I continue to pray and work from Tzion for the restoration, strengthening, and unity of those who sincerely desire to return to their ancestral roots and to the people of Israel. My own journey has been one of return. Born from an Anusim background, I have walked the path of teshuvah for more than forty years and, approximately thirty years ago, began living fully as an Orthodox Jew according to Jewish law, with formative steps taken in Eretz Yisrael. The words of Tehillim 87:6 have remained especially meaningful to me: “The Lord will count when He registers the peoples: ‘This one was born there.’” Rashi explains this verse as pointing toward a future time when those of Israel who became assimilated among the nations, including those who were compelled to abandon Judaism, will be recognized by HaShem and gathered from among the peoples. This vision has become deeply connected with my personal calling.

Today is that 'future time' where Rashi is speaking about. Today HaShem is answering them from out of Tzyion........

Who is 'calling' from Tzyion,

יין וחלב.  לקח טוב מיין וחלב:

Together with my dear friend Gaddi Efrayim in India, I have dedicated myself to reaching those among the Lost Tribes and Lost Sheep of the House of Israel who possess an intense desire to return, to unite with Yehudah and Am Yisrael, and to pursue that journey responsibly under recognized rabbinical authority. In 2014, Gaddi invited me to India, where I was introduced to communities and individuals who identify with the heritage of the Lost Tribes of Israel and who were seeking a meaningful path back toward Torah and the Jewish people. From this shared vision, Beit Yisrael International was established as an organization devoted to Torah education, spiritual guidance, community development, and the responsible strengthening of those seeking connection with Israel. Our desire is that every process involving Jewish status or conversion be approached properly, transparently, and in accordance with Halakhah and recognized rabbinical supervision.

At present, I am also engaged in efforts in Israel to explore appropriate pathways through which sincere candidates connected with Beit Yisrael International may complete the necessary stages of their Jewish journey in Israel under qualified and recognized rabbinical authority. Our prayer is to see those who genuinely seek Torah and identification with Am Yisrael guided with wisdom, dignity, patience, and respect for the established institutions of the Jewish people. We seek to build bridges of understanding and cooperation while remaining committed to Torah, Jewish authority, and the unity of Israel.

International Donations and Global Mission Support

I humbly invite those who share this vision to support the continuing mission of Beit Yisrael International. Your generosity helps us nurture and educate individuals and communities who sincerely seek to reconnect with their Israelite and Jewish roots, while encouraging unity with Am Yisrael and respect for the Torah and the divinely entrusted leadership of Yehudah. We pray that this sacred work will contribute, in its own measure, toward greater unity among the people of Israel and toward the ultimate redemption under the sovereignty of the One Creator.

Your financial support enables me to continue serving as Vice President and international representative of Beit Yisrael International, strengthening Torah education, community outreach, international relationships, and mission-related activities. Donations help support the development and maintenance of our educational websites, the production of live and recorded broadcasts from Har HaBayit, the purchase of essential media equipment such as cameras and microphones, and the expansion of Torah sessions conducted through video calls with communities associated with Beit Yisrael International throughout the world.

Our continuing online educational work includes:

• Har HaBayit — Jewish Sovereignty for All Israel

•  Beit Yisrael International Daily Torah

•  Beit Yisrael International Official Website

We hope to expand these Torah-learning initiatives and develop relationships with additional groups around the world who wish to associate with Beit Yisrael International in a responsible and Torah-centered framework.

Become a Monthly Mission Partner

Recurring monthly contributions provide the stability needed to plan responsibly, respond to ongoing community needs, and sustain our international activities throughout the year. Monthly support assists with community outreach and Torah education, international and local travel, transportation within and outside Israel, administrative and operational expenses, Har HaBayit educational tours, meetings, volunteer coordination, media and educational resources, international partnership development, and fundraising activities on behalf of Beit Yisrael International.

Every contribution—whether monthly or given as a one-time donation—has meaningful value. Your generosity strengthens our ability to serve communities, develop educational initiatives, maintain international partnerships, and continue the work of bringing Torah, understanding, and responsible connection to those who sincerely desire to draw closer to Am Yisrael.

Through your partnership, you help provide a stable foundation for the international activities of Beit Yisrael International and enable this mission to continue with faith, dedication, compassion, accountability, and respect for Torah and Jewish authority.

May HaShem bless every person who supports this work, and may we merit to witness greater unity among Israel, the gathering of the dispersed, the strengthening of Torah, and the complete redemption of Am Yisrael.
